Anyone know the true dimensions of a queen size quilt? Not those full/queen ones they are never quite big enough to cover the bed. I want one that has at least 12-16 inches of overhang on all sides. King size is toooo big though!

I'm a college student and I just need it for christmas break. I can't go home for the winter break and I just need someplace to stay for until school starts back.
I can't go home cuz my mom is a drug dealer and my aunt supports her, my home isnt a positive enviroment. Other family members always express how much of an inconvience it'll be to have people stay over so I dont wanna ask them.
I just need some ideas on where to look for temporary housing for 1 or 2 month?

We are creating a haunted maze for a fundraising event. We want it to be really scary for the kids (up to 14 years old) but not too gory so the parents won't freak out. We don't want to spend thousands of dollars on crazy animatronix and stuff. Know of a website with discount props and decorations or have some do-it-ourself iseas? please help! (helpful ideas only please)

hey i just wanted to know if anybody else had that problem. i have so many of them, and when i accedentally leave a glass of water or sinkful of dishes out, there are a bunch of dead little things that drowned. i came upstairs earlier today actually and there was a puddle of water on the floor from where my cat knocked it off the kitchen counter. there were at least a hundred little things in the water. i've tried fly strips, traps, poison, and everything. they come every year and i want to know if anybody else has this problem, and maybe if they know how to fix it? please help!

I'm considering
1) The price of the extra material as well as
2) The effect the weight of the material will have on shipping cost.

So something cheap that doesn't weigh a lot would be good. (...And something that is readily availible to the public - I'm not traveling to Mars any time soon...). I'm thinking there's probably something in the hardware store, I just don't want to look down every isle without something more of an idea of what it is I'm looking for.

Argh...Yes, my categorization is poor - I couldn't find a suitable place for this question.

my fiancee and I just put our house up for sale even tho the market is horrible, in az. Its completely re-done with stone floors and new everything...we have only the best in a average neighborhood, so we want to move to a betterneighborhood and a much bigger house. My fiancee put the equity we had in to his buisness.....is that bad? and we are selling it for much more than we owe, but he says we will need to rent a house for awhile, since we dont have the cash to buy a new one?
what are our options? should we just try to get out of our contract and stay till we have the money? i dont want to downgrade because seriously we have the best house on the block and we love it its just too small and the neighborhood sucks,

I moved to an apartment in a new area and along the edge of the bathtub closest to the wall is rust. My cousin gave me flatware and some of them ended up rusty after being left in water. My niece bought another flatware set and baking pans. We soaked the pans to loosen the stuff that stuck to the pan after baking and the result was rust. What causes rust and how is it removed from utensils etc.easily? I live in a pioneer rural community with no big department stores/malls and gas at $5.00 a gallon so I need basic home remedies.

It's getting colder now and I'm afraid to leave my geraniums outside. The petals come off all the time so I don't want to bring it inside though (it'd be messy). Any ideas? If I leave it out for the winter, will it come back in the spring/summer or would it just be completely dead? Thanks!
