I'm considering
1) The price of the extra material as well as
2) The effect the weight of the material will have on shipping cost.

So something cheap that doesn't weigh a lot would be good. (...And something that is readily availible to the public - I'm not traveling to Mars any time soon...). I'm thinking there's probably something in the hardware store, I just don't want to look down every isle without something more of an idea of what it is I'm looking for.

Argh...Yes, my categorization is poor - I couldn't find a suitable place for this question.

get a regular mailing envelope . it is made of sturdy paper that will hold enough and not bend ..the cost depends on the size . usually 70cents and up..then it is guaranteed not to bend.. post office is more expensive. $ general . family $ has them cheaper and most pack and ship stores do to..

Sometimes newspapers have heavier than normal paper advertisements; you could cut one to fit the size of the envelope--won't cost you a thing!

When you buy shirts, pajamas, undies, there is usually a stiff paper inside. I save those and use for sturdying envelopes.
Don't buy anything; use a cereal box.
