Boric acid, it is very effective when used properly for killing
cockroaches and most other insects.
You can also get a house lizard, they are natural enemies and will eat them. More information at http://tinyurl.com/ofxkk

Even though you keep a clean house sometimes cockroaches come from outside also. So if I was you I would get on a plan with a fumigation company for at least a year even if you don't see any bugs. That way you can be sure.

Roaches are colony feeders. That means that when they find food, they carry it back to the nest, like ants and they all share the food. There are several good bait products in granule and injectible paste, or gel form that you can use to rid yourself of them for good. There are two different kinds of chemical poisons available in these products. Use one kind first time, then switch the next time you have to use something six months or so later on. That's because they will build up a resistance to the first poison over time, and the second kind will kill even the ones with resistance to the first poison. The granulated type works well. The poison is called Hydramethylnon. A popular brand is called Maxforce. I can't recall the name of the other chemical, but a pro could help you on it.

Try putting Boric acid (its not as bad as it sounds) along the walls under cabinets and places where they might be coming in. It is a powder it dose not burn your skin but it wont be good for children and pets or you to breath or ingest but put in places where roaches travel They don't die right away so the take it back to the nest and spread it among the others. spray around water source's that is the best way to control them they look for water many times a day. Good luck with it.

roaches like dark moist areas that have a temp.of 65 to 80 degrees. (??? celcius) basically room temp. Most likely they are strays from outside temp is low. Or brought in from the grocery store, shopping mall, etc. Unless you see more, don't worry.

You should buy combat gel, my dad bought a tank for his iguana
and once he brought it in we discovered it was infested with roaches, so we bought the gel and put it in every corner of the house, the roaches were gone in one week.
