wrap them in moist paper towels, wrap that in saran wrap or press and seal - put in thin box or reinforced bubble mailer and mark fragile..... good luck - I have done the same for FL from IN

Pull them right off the tree so they're still a little moist and not as brittle as the ones on the ground. Put them in a ziplock bag and sent them right away. You can also try to get some of that self-laminating paper from an office supply store and laminate them and then send them. She can cut them out or leave them as whole pages if she wants.

Place them between the pages of a Magazine, not much you can do about drying out, you might spray them with a little mist of water then place them in the pages, send them asap.

get them moist and place them in one of those space bags that takes all the air out with your vacuum cleaner. place them in a box and ship them.
