Anyone know the true dimensions of a queen size quilt? Not those full/queen ones they are never quite big enough to cover the bed. I want one that has at least 12-16 inches of overhang on all sides. King size is toooo big though!

I'm not aware of any size between a queen and a king, so I would suggest using either a better-quality queen, since they run a little larger than a cheap one and are less likely to shrink in the wash, or a king. I use a king-size quilt on a queen-size bed and there is at least a foot of overhang on all four sides, so it really isn't too big, and will give ample coverage.

a well-known jap king mattress is 80" extensive, (California kings are seventy 8".) the common drop on a duvet is 12", so as that makes a king duvet approximately 104" extensive. A queen mattress is 60". Heights variety very much in recent times, from an wide-unfold of 24" to 30" (with the fatter pillowtops.) engaged on the low edge, the king duvet could draw close 2" above the floor on the aspects. even with the undeniable fact that, on the grounds that quilts have sq. corners rather of rounded ones like bedspreads, the corners will drag on the floor. (you are able to desire to have an changes shop around the corners for you.)
