My sump pump stopped draining water today. The motor kicks on, humming, but does not expel any water. What could be the cause? Should I try and fix it, or just get a new one?

Our outside Christmas lights burnt out. Well, nothing was tripped in the electrical box but we reset all anyway. Ended up, the outside outlet doen't work anymore. Our lights worked after we used an extension chord and plugged it into another outlet. Question: What does it take to make the electricity work in that outside outlet now? Is it expensive?

Thanks so much in advance!!!

Ok, so my room mate broke a dish in the dishwasher as he was loading it, and after he took out the big pieces, he ran it. The thing stopped about 3 minutes in and started making this grinding noise and the water isn't draining. I assume some glass got caught down there, but it's this half size dishwasher from GE and I'm not really sure about what goes where in the dishwasher. How can I fix this myself? It keeps making the grinding noise and not draining every time I try to run it, even after I cleaned out some more glass. I don't want to pay for a repairman.

Without turning off the breaker how do I test which plugs are on the same circuit? I have a small room in a house with 5 plugs. The breakers are in someone else's unit so I don't want to bug them for an afternoon of testing running up and down flipping the breakers and seeing what goes off. Is there anyway to test what is on the same circuit??
I don't want to run the heater, kettle and toaster all on the same circuit because it will blow...
Also some light and plugs in the other unit might be on the same breaker. The house is rewired and I know there are at least 30 breakers in the box but this unit was an old dining room and new(I think) bathroom in the corner of the main floor.

when we moved into our house, there was no stove, so we used the stove from our old home. BUT... the stove is about 2 inches narrower than the spot where it has to sit so there are gaps on either side. it doesnt really look that great and things fall down between the stove and cabinets. does anyone have any suggestions besides buying a new stove??? thanks in advance!

It was really windy. My clothes dryer is in the garage. It's gas. Is it likely that the wind blew out the pilot light. That seems stupid, I know, but that's what someone told me.
What are some ways I can try to fix this myself?

I'm adding a subpanel to my garage and using 4, #4 awg stranded wire: 2 hot, 1 neutral and 1 ground. Looking at my main panel, I don't see how this thick 4 awg will fit into the neutral and ground connections. Is there an adapter I should be using? Also, I'm using 2 black wires as hots and 1 black wire as ground. The neutral is white. I figure I'll strip the ground wire bare in the box to show it is ground. Am I doing something wrong? To late to buy new wire, it's already cut and snaked. Thanks.
