My concrete dock has been undermined by wave action and there's a huge area underneath with no rocks there. It's the front side, facing the water that needs repair. Apparently, the bottom part was filled with rocks, then the conrete was poured in. The top foot or so is solid concrete. The water level is quite low right now, so only about 8" would be under water. I'm planning to put more rocks in there to help fill the space. Is this going to work, or would I be wasting my time and money?

My mother and her neighbor share a well. The well is in my mothers backyard. The neighbor decided he wanted his own well so he called the plummers and had them dig one for him. While doing this they had to cut the pipe from my mothers well to disconnect the neighbor. They never capped off the pipe. Now my mother is having serious problems water wise. Her whole backyard is flooded (we live in southeastern Wi so some of the flooding is from the rain) Her sub pump is constantly running and her water and energy bills are sky high from this. Is this her problem and does she have to pay plummers to come fix it or is it the neighbors or plummers fault and responsibility to fix it? I don't think legally she should have to pay for it concidering nothing was wrong before the pipe was cut. Also she has called the same plummers that did it and they said they would come and look at it and they never showed up. What are some suggestions on what she should do and who is in the right?

I replaced it but it is still happening. I could replace it with a non-breaker outlet but I am worried that there is a short or something. Maybe the circuit is overloaded? But if there is nothing plugged in how can it overload? I am not sure how I should test it.

It's 5 years old and I've never had a problem before. We use a switch on the wall to control the fan. No problems when on low or medium. Is this fixable...or should I just buy a new one?

My door was damaged when on of the rollers jammed and caused the drive to rip the metal sheet where the chain attaches to the door away from the rest of the door. The hinge is still intact, its just the top 2 rivets were ripped away from the door. The metal on the door and the part that pulled off is pretty mangled and I dont think reattaching it with a new set of rivets is an option unless I replace the whole top section of the door.

Since the door is an insulated kind, there is a bunch of torn up insulating foam in the space where the metal ripped away. Is there some kind of adhesive that I could use in there? Am i better off trying to rig up some hardware? The metal is pretty bent and mangle...

I just bought a farm and am cleaning the shed. The shed has a concrete floor that the previous owners used as a mechinic shop. It has 20 years of grease and dirt on the concrete and a 3250 psi power washer does not touch it. How do I get the concrete to look new again. It does what it takes. Please help.

The door in my son's room used to squeek, so we WD-40'd it. But now, it swings all the way open - you can't just leave it ajar. Any tricks for getting a door to stay ajar without jamming something under it to stop it? My son is 2 years old and is potty training so we don't want him to try and open the door wider to get out to the bathroom and then have the door jammed up with a door stopper. Any thoughts?
