My mother and her neighbor share a well. The well is in my mothers backyard. The neighbor decided he wanted his own well so he called the plummers and had them dig one for him. While doing this they had to cut the pipe from my mothers well to disconnect the neighbor. They never capped off the pipe. Now my mother is having serious problems water wise. Her whole backyard is flooded (we live in southeastern Wi so some of the flooding is from the rain) Her sub pump is constantly running and her water and energy bills are sky high from this. Is this her problem and does she have to pay plummers to come fix it or is it the neighbors or plummers fault and responsibility to fix it? I don't think legally she should have to pay for it concidering nothing was wrong before the pipe was cut. Also she has called the same plummers that did it and they said they would come and look at it and they never showed up. What are some suggestions on what she should do and who is in the right?

they cut it they should fix it tell mom to get a plumber to fix it and ask the neighbor to pay to repair her property and when they say no sue them when you go to court she should take her past bills showing how much the bills have gone up since they cut her water pipe and make sure that she get pic. of the yard that they dug up they need to put it back to grade and re sod or seed it and any ruts that they left in her yard she pays to have it fixed and then take them to court for damages plus court cost and and call your local plumbing council with the name of the company and tell them that you want to talk to some one a bout this and ask them they might be able to pull their Linc and she needs to have the water checked it might be contaminated because of the cut pipe could let surface water in to her well which could have a high level of Bactria get her to anattorney some times a letter from one of them will get results

They should have asked permission from your mother fist, they had no right, whatever was being done, to come on to her property and do this type of work. I would have run them off.

Get an attorney right now, in the meantime hire someone to come in and cap the well, the other work, I don't know what's going on there but, for now, cap the well.
Let the attorney take care of it and, don't let these guys back. Get their names and numbers, the attorney is going to want that.
If they're licensed and certified then they have insurance to cover anything, if not, sue the heck out of them, they can also be sued and charged with trespassing onto your mothers property, I would make them replace everything the way it was and make the responsible for all repairs.

Its the plumbers fault and he should fix this immediately. Tell mom to call the plumber and say if this isn't fixed today your attorney is ready to take action. If this don't get his attention hire the attorney and sue the plumber. Call the better business bureau as well. Being a licensed plumber city hall may want to revoke his license if he is not working to code.
By the way formerly from waukesha where you at?

i think of who ever is looking the different to go out, may be the only to pay and you may definately no longer alway being paying. I somewhat does no longer mooch off somebody each and all of the time, nor do I even have that expectation I hate the reality that in basic terms bc you will possibly be able to earn a much better paycheck, capability you are the breadwinner. places a lot of stress on the breadwinner and deflates the ego of the different persons efforts.

The plumbers should fix it. The problem was caused by their negligence. They are not showing up because they figure if they can stall long enough then she will get tired of calling them and give up. she should keep calling them and demand that the problem they created be fixed to her satisfaction. Also, she could call the town and find out if these plumbers are licensed and file a complaint there.

It may also be thatt he neighbor is responsible because the neighbor's workmen caused the damage.

Start calling the plumber all day every day until they come fix it for free. Seriously call like 15 times a day.
