I know the tank is full, just replaced it. I dont think the gas is coming out at all. I have tried the to vent it in case the flow regulator was tripped. I have sprayed the entire system with soapy water and have not found a leak. I did clean the grill before it was packed up when we moved. I dont know if this will have anything to do with it though.

Our AC condenser unit was stolen from the side of our house recently. Police suggested it was stolen for the copper inside. However, the unit would easily be worth $1,000 itself. How much copper is inside to make it worth gutting rather than
reselling the unit itself outright in regular condition?

I just started a new residential service plan and the electricity company asked me if I would like to enroll in the monthly average plan, whereby they bill you based on the previous 12 months usage at that address. Your average changes with each months usage, but you're only charged that average. At the end of the 12 month cycle, you're billed whatever amount was deferred each month because it was above the average. Has anyone else enrolled in this? Was your 12th month bill outrageous? I'm trying to decide if it is a good plan for me, a single broke college student!

My front door is double glazed and 3 small cracks have appeared in the leaded diamonds, possibly due to the door slamming shut through the wind. The cracks are at the bottom end of the diamonds and are approx 3cms wide(from lead to lead). Can anyone suggest a resin or glue I can apply to stop any damp from entering the cavity between the two panes?

Ok... I have a house that I am remodling and a main support beam between the main floor and upstairs was comprimised by the previous owner. ( WHAT AN IDIOT!) It is a beam that runs from the back of my house inward. About 3 feet inside the rear wall he removed 2x4's from under header and main beam and cut main beam aswell. This has now caused a major sag in beam. enough to actually bring in my rear wall a little. it looks concave from the outside.
I am confused what the jacks are called that will lift this beam again?
and... maybe someone knows an easy way to LIFT and resupport this beam.
For the beam, I was going to put 2x8' or 2x10's on either side and lag bolt it about 8 times once I had it straight and level. help me out please !!!

The other day, I was cutting the lawn, when I heard a loud thump. Suddenly, the mower blade stopped running full speed. I tried pushing up the throttle, but it no longer went: "vroom". It now just sits there putt-putting along at a really slow speed. I don't know much about mowers--can someone help?

We just installed a brand new window unit and we cannot get it to tilt back. Any ideas? It is almost completely level. The back of the unit is not resting on anything, so I am fairly clueless on how to get it to tilt back. Thank you for your ideas.

It's not the dishwasher that's broken but what it's connected to. I guess it's connected to the knob by the kitchen faucet -- the knob that looks like it doesn't do anything but block water. The knob broke off so I was wondering what I need to do to fix it.

I am curious as to how an appliance that is rated at 1500 watts uses electricity. Does it burn 1500 watts an hour? A minute? I posted this question because I live in an area where our local power company has hiked the rates by 50% and I'd like to understand more of how I'm being charged for my usage. Thanks in advance!!!

We live in a very moldy house. It's had mold since I was young, around 12 or 13. It's been flooded twice, and there is this black/green stuff growing on the walls. I'd like to know if this is just rotting wood or mold. Here are some photos of it.

If it is mold, what kind and how dangerous is it? We have a five year old who has been living in that house since she was born. She is developmentally challenged and hyperactive, could this be due to all the mold?

I live in a small town in NW Georgia. I have a 8x8 room that needs to have the floor replaced & a water heater installed. Could anyone tell me about how much this should cost? Please break down labor & materials. I'm not sure if the estimates that I've had are good or bad.

I bought some cast iron fencing [garden borders] & they arrived w/broken points :-(
It was bought on ebay, and I thought it was insured but it was not.
The seller has not responded to my emails and were jerky in communication b4 hand [which I've NEVER exp./ebay until this ... ]
ANYWAY~perhaps I'll take last option & TRY to MEND these fence sections myself.
I do NOT know how to weld, lol!
IS THERE any other way to mend cast iron aside from welding?? Pleaaaase?? (I sure hope so)
THank you in advance!
