What type of hangers should I use to hang a heavy electrical box on the side of my house?

The plug for my washing machine has a black coating on it's three prongs which appears to have melted. Now the prongs won't fit into the wall socket (also a smell of burnt rubber). It's a moulded plug so, assuming the problem is within the plug, I will have to cut off to replace it. Is it safe to do this, or might the problem lie in the wall socket?

We have owned this fridge for only 4.5 yrs and it has started to make a really loud popping noise. It started off as just one pop and now it does three consecutive pops - poppoppop.
Any idea why it is doing this and how to fix it? We've already checked that the ice maker is turned off.

I live in an apartment where the drain clogs up a lot. I have called the apartment management about the problem and they pour some chemicals down the drain and it clears it up. What can I use so I don't have to call the management all the time? I am broke so can not afford the top brands like liquid plumber for instance.

I am looking to change my 'super ancient' hot water furnace. My house has two bedroom and 5 radiators. It is about 2150 sq feet. The furnace has modern connections per code, but has that old water tank hanging above it. I am in the process of calling companies, but I wanted to know what price ranges I should expect to pay for the boiler and total installation and what kinds of things I should ask so that I look like I know what I am talking about. I live in the NE United States.

My apartment is freezing cold, and I hope it's because I'm not using my radiator correctly. There's a valve on the side that one "opens," meaning that one turns is to open it and turns it to close it. My question is: should the valve be opened or closed in order to heat my apartment?
