What type of hangers should I use to hang a heavy electrical box on the side of my house?
My house is made of stucco, and I would like to hang an electrical breaker box on the side of the house. I'm wondering what kind of hanger i should use. The stucco does not have plywood underneath it.

The box I want to hang is a 200 amp service panel and yes it is heavy. The stucco just has paper and wire to hold it up.
Its a surface mount panel, and is only 14.5" wide.

I need more information.
What type of box are you talking about? )a load center or sub-panel - and is it for "exterior use"?
1- Stucco doesn't support itself, it has to be anchored to something.
2- A load center has a main breaker and several smaller breaker spaces (as few as 8 and as many as 20) [100 Amps]
3- A 200 Amp center can have up to 40 spaces (Really heavy and 6 holes for mounting).
4- You wouldn't be able to hang the box to the stucco and wire mesh that supports it. You would need a backboard anchored to the studs behind the stucco. (it wouldn't win any beauty contests even if you were to paint it - but it would hold).
5- Last of all - why would want to hang a breaker panel outside and have to go out in the rain to reset a breaker that went off?

Locate the studs and use lag screws to hold it in place. Once you get one located, the others should be 16 inches on center.
