I took advice and had my home inspected before I bought it so that I would have peace of mind when I bought it. Less than a week after I moved in my toilet started backing up and even coming up through the bathtub. I had a plumber come out and he said my sewer lines were full of tree roots and I would need to have all new sewer lines put in and that the inspector should have known the plumbing was bad because of the water pressure from the stool. What can I do now that I have already moved in and bought the house? Could I sue the guy who did my inspection or am I basically out of luck??? ANY help would be appreciated. I was told it would be at least $1500 to replace the sewer lines and I am flat broke after just buying this house. HELP!!!!

We only have two outlets in the room (bedroom), but have several items plugged into each outlet to include a space heater. After a couple of hours we spell something burning and it is one particular outlet that is smoking. When taking the face plate off I noticed one of the two wires that are connected to the plug unit itself is kind of short. Is there a way to add an extension on it on a budget? I think that is part of the problem.

In the Kitchen, it takes almost 2 minutes for the water to get hot. It get warm after 1 minute and full hto and about 2. About 1/2 later it is cold again and i have to do the whole thing over. Any ideas??? The kitchen sink is the farthest from the water heater but the house is pretty small 1200 SF so i cannot imagine that is the probelm. The water comes out fine everywhere else.
Thanks...

Just got DE DIETRICH hot water gas boiler 125, my contractor couldn't wire it properly. 1) couldn't figure out how to get the power from J1=120V to J2=24V thru the boiler's transformer, tried everything, finally, he ends up using the 120V side where the power exist, he had to use(120V THERMOSTAT) the wiring located on 120V side. the boiler is working fine, 2) circular pump is working constantly with no stop even if the thermostat is off. I appreciate any advice .

Kenmore model # 110 97573230 will not always start when the start button is pushed. The dryer seems like it wants to start and then nothing. It makes a humming/buzzing noise then nothing. At other times it starts and will run all day. I am thinking that it is either the motor or the contacts to the motor are dirty. Any ideas.

I seemed to have lost pressure in both my hot and cold water just in the past two days. We use city water, not well water. Our pipes are copper. We've noticed it in the shower and at the kitchen sink. No matter how much we turn the nozzle, not much water. Please give me some ideas of what can cause this and how to repair. (Ugh!)

After my husband had the apartment maintenance people come and replace the leaky faucet in the shower, our shower pressure, which used to be awesome now is terrible. There's about 1/3 of the water that used to come out. This is a big deal to me. It was so great before....:( My husband only had the faucet replaced because water would come out of the faucet as well as the shower... but in spite of that, the shower pressure was GREAT!

They only replaced the faucet, not the shower head - that is the same as before. Also, if we only have the water on and not the shower, a lot less water comes from it.... Where is the water going? Does anyone have ideas about what happened?

I don't have the pressure that I should. It pulsates out of the gun instead of a 300psi that it should be. I have cleaned and it primes like everything is fine but you turn the switch to spray and it doesn't build up the pressure like it used to. I bought it used and it worked fine for three separate times that I used it. I used latex paint and this time I used catalyzed laquor. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

I have an almost new house built on a cement slab with no exposed pipes outside. I am nearly positive the water service comes into the house to the kitchen first, then to the bathrooms. Yesterday, after working normally a couple hours before, the water pressure in the kitchen dropped to almost nothing! The bathrooms seem to be working fine, at least not easily noticed lower pressure. I have taken the faucet filter off and tried the faucet with nothing on it, and there is not enough pressure. How do I figure out what is going on?

I just bought a softub. I filled it for the first time, not seeing any leaks. When I turned the unit on, the top tube connection was shooting water everywhere. Now it is askew- I am afraid to disconnect it to fix it, thinking 200 gal of water may be draining into my house!
