I purchased a brandnew HVAC unit from York this summer and went to turn on the heat today and it only blows cold air. I don't believe there is a pilot light, how do I turn it on??? How do you turn on a pilot light that uses an electric ignition system?

Being that you have just bought this furnace you may have air in the line and needs to be purged. Also from a previous answer about the limit switch if you do have on that is resetable that maybe the problem. Your furnace is spark ignition and lights the pilot you only have to have gas on and having unit call for heat it does the rest. If you are not familiar with working on these units i would calll the installer they should have checked this part of unit when installed.

you probably did no longer contain the kind sort for the Nordyne. turn off the means to the unit after which lower back on. If it starts off working, it is not something to tension approximately, except it retains happening. If the unit would not start up working, then you definately've a instruction manual reset roll-out change, or intense-shrink change tripped. they're small around gadgets with 2 wires and a reset button interior the midsection. The intense shrink is to guard against low airflow as from a clogged clear out, blocked off vent openings, or a failed blower motor. It prevents a extreme overheating which will reason a hearth or wreck the warmth exchanger. that is interior the blower section. The roll out is placed only above the burner tube beginning, and protects against a clogged flue or warmth exchanger. If the flame can no longer bypass out the vent pipe, that is going to roll out and soften the wiring and controls interior the burner compartment. the reason of the subject could be repaired till now putting the unit lower back into provider. they're SAFETIES. It has no longer something to do with the gas administration valve.

If it is a new France & this is the first time you turned it on, just call the installer, They should come out & get it going at no charge to you. This is the very best thing for you to do. Most dealers will stand behind what they install.

It may very well be some thing simple. May be they could even tell you something over then phone.

If it is electroonic ignition you dont. The gas cut off may have not been turned back on. This cut off is near and on the gas line that goes into the furnace. Be sure it is on

Read the instruction manual. It should have a troubleshooting section. If you don't have a manual, you can get one off the internet.
