I don't have the pressure that I should. It pulsates out of the gun instead of a 300psi that it should be. I have cleaned and it primes like everything is fine but you turn the switch to spray and it doesn't build up the pressure like it used to. I bought it used and it worked fine for three separate times that I used it. I used latex paint and this time I used catalyzed laquor. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Have you been using throat sealer in this? If not you need to , to keep the packings from drying out.
Lacquor is very thin product so I would not use any lacqour thinner in it, another thing is that going from latex to lacquor, is that lacq will gum up paint, so the ball at the bottom of pump is or could be gummed with paint not allowing it to go through the suction tube, clean out pump with lacq thinner, making sure it goes thru the primer tube and suction and gun hose completely.
If you know where this ball is located somtimes you can knock loose the gunk built up on it by banging it with a hammer, ultimatley rattling the ball loose from the gummed paint allowing for it to pump the way it should.
If this doesn't work, you will need to bring it to Hirshfields, Sherwin Williams or a paint store with a service department to rebuild your pump.
Not that expensive about $120.00 where im at.

I've used the Wagner for many years to my advantage. My last one I kept when I retired, it's still running, I not only paint with it and borrow it out but, I spray my fruit trees with it every year.

This is the third Wagner I've had. The head pressure has to be adjusted by a dealer, they have to do it so there's no problems. Call a dealer. Don't take it apart. By the way, I'm a retired contractor and this sprayer has painted a couple of hundred houses with no trouble, everyon handles them where I come from.

The laquir paint may be to thick, try thinning with the proper chem, if this does not fix the problem then there has to be a clog somewhere, you may need to completly tear down the spayer to properly clean, after I use my sprayer I run it thru 10 gallons of water, this seems to work best for me, good luck!
