My kitchen faucet takes forever to get hot water. I checked the valve under the sink and it seems to be on. Is it always the valve on the left side? Any other Suggestion?

I just shut off both hot and cold water valves, then opened hot water only and I get NO water. If valve is on, why I am not getting any water from the faucet? I have hot water in all other areas of the house. Maybe a faucet problem?

Sometimes you get a build up of scale going into the flex pipe to the faucet. If you take this off at the junction with the adapter you may see scales in it. The other thing is that the hot water valve may have scales in it. You get more scales from the hot water side since that goes through the hot water tank and there is usually scale in the bottom of that. Clean out both places and you should be fine.

The stem needs to be replaced or is just clogged up. Not knowing what type of faucett you have, I'm thinking it's a single handle.
