Is there a process by which a marble worker can remove the shine. Or can I do something?

most top are made with a matte finish maybe you ordered a gloss finish and don't remember or that's what they put down. you can sand it to the sheen you like but that's a job for a pro. look at your contract. contact a solid surface manufacture for sanding help and terms on standard marble tops

Marble in it's natural form has pores just like your skin. Water and other elements can soak right through it, causing damage. When you use marble for your kitchen counters, it's very important to have a high shine on it to keep those problems from penetrating and ruining it. Just as we "ScotchGuard" our fine clothes, keeping stains out of the materials pores, we need the shine that marble has. Larry- Floor Covering 10 years.

If you ordered them a certain way, then you need to talk to the people you ordered them from. Marble usually is shiny. Stone, is rough.

Try potting nail polish remover, I know it sounds weird, but it always removes the shine out of plastic, maybe even marble...

let it be shining and polished it will be easy to clean if u make it rough dirt will reamain in the pours of marbel and u have to work more to clean it
