Garden & Landscape - December 2007

I planted this little tree last May. It continued to do poorly...as soon as new leaves would open, almost immediately the leaf edges would turn yellow and curl inward. I gave it plenty of water so that wasn't the problem. A month ago I dug it up & put it into a large pot, good soil & brought it under a cover. My question is should I still water it when it's dry or just let it hybernate all winter? Was my location bad...to much sun? This tree is important to me as it was one of my late husband's favorites.

Im interested in buying one. Can somebody with experience please tell me everything I need to know about them. I live in bc in an area with snow at the moment, is it still possible to raise a venus flytrap or another carnivoros plant? Thank you for your input.

I have a decent size back yard 40'x40' which i have 2-45 lbs. dogs running around. I live in Southern Georgia. It's winter right now, what would be some good steps I could take to have a nice yard. Should I water the grass, fertilize, treat, or throw seeds or what. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also what would be agood grass to grow for the dog traffic. Right now i have Carpet Grass and St. Augustine grass on half/half of the yard.

I was out in my garden, yet again, when I notice something squirming on the ground below. Much to my surprise, it was a newly formed chrysalis (not more than minutes old). I guess it fell off wherever it was anchored to. I've taken it inside with me because I'm sure it will be devoured if left out there on the floor. So, my question is, do I leave it lying flat on a leaf? Or is it still able to anchor on to an object? I've tried leaning it against a small twig, but all it does is just squiggle and fall on its back. Helpppp pleaseeeee!

I usually leave it up until March. Not cause I want to, but cause I'm too lazy to take it down. then it gets thrown away. But do you like, burn it or mulch it or what? IS there a good way to get rid of it?

I bought it a couple weeks ago, but I was outdoors with it for about an hour in really low temperatures. It seemed fine when I got it home and the leaves lasted about a week then they all started drying up and falling off. I'm not bad with plants normally I actually have quite a green thumb with tropical plants ( which are all doing really well). I'm just not sure if something's happened to the plant or if it's just responding to the cold. I'm new to bonsai so could someone help me?
