I have stuff that looks like black grass around my penal region, what is it, and why is it there?

sounds like your lawn is sprouting into puberty. It's time now for that father to lawn discussion that you dreaded for all this time now. Make sure that you mention to your lawn about not falling into peer pressure and get mowed before it's ready
