I was out in my garden, yet again, when I notice something squirming on the ground below. Much to my surprise, it was a newly formed chrysalis (not more than minutes old). I guess it fell off wherever it was anchored to. I've taken it inside with me because I'm sure it will be devoured if left out there on the floor. So, my question is, do I leave it lying flat on a leaf? Or is it still able to anchor on to an object? I've tried leaning it against a small twig, but all it does is just squiggle and fall on its back. Helpppp pleaseeeee!

Caterpillars attach themselves to branches, then transform into a crysallis. You can't reattach it.

Put it in a glass or plastic jar. When it hatches you'll know what moth it is.
