What is your favorite flower and why?

Mine personally- marigolds, memories from when i was a kid. In kindergarten we each got to plant a marigold, and I guess that's stuck w/ me ever since. They are such pretty flowers, and very underrated if you ask me. Everyone always wants the flashy flowers without appreciating the simple beauty ones.

I cut my lillac bush back last fall,it was about 15 ft.and i cut it down to about 3.ft.because it was just kind of going everywhere. The person that recommended i cut it said that there very resiliant and it will not harm the bush, now with spring approching im having some regrets because i did a pretty good hack job on it. Will it bloom this year?did i make a mistake by cutting it so low?

I've heard of putting barrels of water with a hole in the bottom near the trees. Only problem may be evaporation. We can't go to the land every day or even every other day.

I know that they put liners down in some, but like on the sides where it runs higher because it may have rained or something.

What are the roots like on a yucca? Can they be safely transplanted? How? When is the best time of year to transplant them? Not sure what zone I'm in though... North-central Ohio.

There is a spot in my yard that is about 2-3 inches of powdery dirt. What could I put down on top of the dirt have it be less dusty. With the dirt a powder consistancy it is really messy, it is really dusty and I get really dirty just walking through this part of the yard.

Thanks for your suggestions

No I've not posted my question in the wrong section. My girlfriend has bought me a Bonzai tree after I mentioned that that is a plant I would really like and now I'm terrified that I will kill it!! My Palms are sweating and I'm having Palpatations! Can anyone in the wonderful world of answers give me any advice or good websites so I can learn how to keep Bonzo (oh god I've given him, yes it's a him, a name!) happy. Every two weeks I have to give him special nutrients. What are these and where in London can I get them?
Thanks in advance!

In a few weeks I am picking up a new riding lawnmower. I have a pickup and access to a trailer at work. The trailer is pretty low, has an all wood floor, and metal bars on the front and sides, and a drop down metal framed gate with mesh covering that looks like it was designed to handle the weight, pretty much made for the job I need to do. But no tie down anchors. As long as I take precautions to keep the mower from rolling, will it be OK just sitting there? Or do I need to figure out a way to tie it down?
