My Ficus tree looks well dead. Will it come back in the spring or is there something I can do to help.

I'm not as confident as Lowell that it will be all right. Ficus is kind of a sissy plant and can't take extremes. If you scrape the bark on a fairly new branch with your thumb nail and there is green under the bark it's still alive and may bud out in the spring. If it's brown under the bark it's dead.

Ficus are subject to leaf loss with less temperature change than any tree I know of ,however they come back rather easily too.I suggest that if the root ball did not really freeze it will recover. Most everyone treats them as indoor plants so I wonder if yours is outside in a very warm climate? Either way just make sure it gets normal amounts of water and light. I'm confident it will be alright.
