most "weeds" in the lawn are present because we mow too close.Mow as high as you can and most grasses will crowd out the broad leaf weeds.as dandelions and plantains. most mowers will go 3 1/2 or 4 inches and no you won't mow any more often.Chemical treatment works but it is not a permanent solution. use it once and then mow high.or just mow high for a season or two you'll be amazed.

Depending on whether your weeds are in you lawn or your garden bed....Weeds in the lawn are easily eradicated with a product called weed and feed. The grass is fed and the weeds will die. The container can be connected to your hose and you simply turn on the tap and water it in.
Weeds in your garden bed should be pulled out and then if you lay a mulch over the bare soil then you wont have a huge problem with weeds. The odd one may pop up now and again but they can be picked out as you admire your garden. Mulch not only controls the weeds but it also holds the moisture in.

Weeds are opportunistic. They have adapted to exploit their surroundings, so they're strong and persistent. There are many "weeds" that I love, for exactly that reason: fleabane, wild aster, oxalis, violets, Queen Anne's lace, white clover, burmese hawkweed and chamomile, just to name a few!
