I have grown plants from sprouted potatoes several times, but am never sure when to harvest. I dug under the dirt (my last attempt) and saw a bunch of tiny potatoes so I covered them back up and waited a few more weeks. When next I checked, they were all gone, decomposed I assume.

Was walking in Northern Ca. zone 7 by the creek in the park, found a low growing plant with a 2 tone leaf (plant has 3 roundish leaves) the leaves are about 3 to 4" diameter green with burgundy/brownish spots, center of the plants had a burgundy flower, when it opens it looks like a star magnolia. Does not have runners. Woody, shaded, damp area. This was a patch about 20' by 15' walked her before have never seen it. None of the plants were taller than 10". Leaves are smooth. The roots seem to be about 6" under ground, I could not dig up...

I live in Chicago, (4 distinct seasons), and I have a dog, but I would love to put some color in my front yard, and has a fragrance that people notice when they walk by. I LOVE the smell of magnolias, but our yard is small, and we rent, so we cant plant an entire tree in someone else's yard :( Please help!!!!!

On a recent trip to Homedepot. I purchased some Sequoia Strawberries in a stapled plastic bag. I did not plant them immediately I waited a few days. When I did finally get to trying to plant the darn things I openned the package and found this rubber band jumbled up mess of dirt, roots and shrivled strands. Not like the nice plants they show on the package with leaves and stuff. What should I do return this clump to back to Homedepot or try to plant it and see if the stuff grows?

I live in New Mexico, and all of my other plants, trees, and shrubs have begun budding...but not my trumpet vine...This is the first spring I've lived in my current house, so I don't know when it's supposed to. Can anyone help me? The average daytime high lately has been about 65-75. I thought it would have budded by now

We used over'n out last year, is it the best or is there something else we could use for treating the whole yard? The over'n out was $20.00 a bag and we spread a few bags on about a half an acre. Is there any other way to treat this?

The ants art horrible, every time it rains, little piles come out from nowhere. My kids sometimes get into them and it just breaks my heart.

I dont mind spending the money, I just want to know what works.... Any ideas?

This ground-cover should be easy to maintain, has good weed control and can handle heavy clay soil.

I purchased gerbrera daisy plants last year at Lowes and saved the seeds to plant this year. I have been told that if the original plant was a hybrid the flowers will come out ugly but i don't know if the plant was a hybrid or not.
