Allison, Here is a link to an experiment that was done.. Maybe this will help with the info you need for your report..

PS... Myth busters did a segment on talking to plants to prove whether this really did make plants grow better.. Here is a link of the results. Scroll down to .... Myth #3 to get the results. It first aired in Nov. of 2004.

I have a lot of house plants and the ones in the room with music far out grow the ones with the best sunlight.
Sound waves are a stimuli to the plant just as light is, but from experience, I can say that the presence of sound improves their overall condition. These plants tend to grow larger and faster.

(Just ask a smilier question but in a polling format, which could be used as your research)

If you can use the Internet as a source
on Google video you might be able to find the myth buster show
Where they did just such an experiment
They messed it up but the plants died except for the one "listen" vibrating to the hard core music

When I was a younger person, I had a neighbor who strongly believed that if you talked to your plants in a soft sweet voice they would grow better! She had beautiful healthy plants all the time!

there's a magnificent episode of Mythbusters the position they attempt how music and talking to flora impacts strengthen and well being. i'm a touch hazy on the outcomes yet i have self assurance they got here across that music and speaking truthfully impacts the upward thrust of pea flora.

Yes talking to them, giving them love and attention, and recognizing the beauty in them is giving them energies that will help them to blossom more than the work of nature by itself. The transfer of energies between living things are very powerful.

Yes, I think it does. I think your report would be a lot better if you tried the experiment yourself, and see what happens. That way, you'll have the information right in front of you, instead of going by what other people have said about it.

hookem up to the dvdburner(use a radioshack pre amp,,,,,,25 bucks) pos electrode to top of plant, neg to bottom,,stick copper wire a bit into plant leaf & stem, wires feed 1 rca plug which goes to preamp, then preamp out to dvd right chan. record input,,,,hit record .play it back ,,,,,see if plant talks back,,,,might help to use an audio analyzer to precisely look at and make sense of result,,,,tell yia the result

That depends on if the plants have feelings when compared to chickens.
