I'm planning an extensive curb appeal project for spring. I have two front yards - separated by steps. Both are sloped. Not real steep. One is approximately 9' X 12'. The other is about 5' X 12'. I'm thinking about laying down some landscape fabric and filling the areas with mulch rather than rock. I believe mulch is cheaper. Maybe some big rocks. Some sawgrass. First, I'm wondering how much this is going to set back me back? More importantly, someone once told me mulch increases the possibility of termites visiting? Is this true?

I saved the seeds from my gerbrera daisies last year. I want to plant them and I purchased a 72 peat pellet greenhouse from lowes. I have been reading and I am finding the info discouraging. Has anyone grown these plants from seeds that they saved? I would love any tips and instruction on how to do this successfully.

I used to have a plant book that was taller with 4 flip pages devided into quarters on one one page. You could look at a varity of smaller plants on the bottom section, then flip the next quarter of the page to a different plant a little taller and so on so you ened up with 4 different pages to look at one one page. I loved this book but loaned it out and haven't seen it for years. I would love to replace it, anyone seen anything like this or have any ideas where I could find such a thing. I could have sworn it was called The Gardeners Palette but when I look that up its not even close to the book I remember. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have beautiful, mature boxwoods ringing my property's perimeter. I want to keep them and want them to thrive. However, they have gotten WAY TOO Tall - some are obscuring the house. Others have a lot of deadwood on the inside. How and when to best trim?

This is our first spring in our new house and I want to take up gardening as a hobby. However, I'm new to the idea and to the area and really don't know what to plant. I'm not interested in vegetables, just plants and flowers for landscaping. Is there an online website that you know of where I can put in my location and it tells me what does well in my region? I already know about the Arbor Day Site program but it just mostly tells trees.

My husband and I live outside Fredericton, NB and just bought a new house that has a large yard and we'd like to fence it in. I was trying to weigh the pro's and cons of wood vs hedges etc. We've got a lot of area to fence in, and don't want to spend a ton of money. Thanks for any help :)

I bought one of those mini greenhouses where you have the little peat disks that expand, you plant the seeds, put the top on, and it steams up and sprouts the plant. My cosmos and Red Sunflower Have grow so tall they will no longer fit into the greenhouse. Should I seperate all the seedlings? Is it alright to put them in a deep flower box or should it be shallow?

Also how tall should sweet William be before you take it out?
