I'm planning on growing 1 to 2 acres of Indian corn, pumpkins & gourds to sell at roadside and/or Farmer's Market. Appreciate you sharing your experience & comments.

Make sure that you don't plant any "corn for eating" anywhere near the Indian corn because they will cross pollinate and end result will not be what you want. Be sure to ammend the soil well, for all your crops, and be sure to irrigate deeply every week for best formation of the veges.

a lot of those spices are tropical vegetation, and can desire a greenhouse. yet you are able to boost cilantro/coriander in the summer season (it rather is a short-lived annual), and fennel is a perennial which will do alright on your backyard.
