My pool is so old and the walls are cracking, and it's caving in on itself. I've called several people to give me estimates, but one didn't show up, and the other one never called me back.

I've decided to just fill it in instead of trying to fix it. What should I do to prepare it before we fill it up with dirt?

Thanks!!

We just moved into a house with lavendar plants lining the driveway. Due to the time of year they are dead, but we know they will come back. Do I need to trim just the tops or can I cut them down to the base?

A friend of ours has died and instead of flowers I want to buy a tree (lasts longer and is very eco friendly) obviously...but I do not know where to get one. I live in the middle of no where...Gunflint Trail, grand marais, Minnesota. We have a florist but that is it. Duluth is the closest big city. Does anyone know where I can find a tree or maybe on the internet...I can not do one that is too expensive, I also like burning bushes. Please help!

Today I fertilized my lawn. Ahhh, the fragrant aroma of Scott's Fertilizer. It brings fond memories of spring, green grass, flower blooming, children playing; the world being reborn.

I wrote this poem, please be honest and if you can, can you possibly help me come up with a title for it??? Thanks a lot.

Life is like a tree.
Everyone wants to grow up to be as tall and as strong as the tree in their backyard.
All the leaves represent all the memories we have had in our lives.
The ones that fall to the ground, are the ones that arent meant to be while the ones that stay are the ones that remain forever in our hearts.
Like us, the trees live on until they no longer can, then they die.
Then, they are miracuously given a second chance by having their seeds replanted just like our heaven.
So when I look at life, I think of that tree, that big strong tree.

We live on top of our own water source, so I need something that won't leach into the water table and poison us, or if it does, it will be harmless.
I remember one with vinegar, but can't remember the other ingredients or the ratios.
Help?

Thanks!!

Can I train periwinkle, Bowles Cunningham Periwinkle (Vinca Minor 'Bowles Cunningham'), to climb and cover a wall? I know I have selected the right location as far as soil, moisture, and sun is concerned and that it has long "vines" like a climbing plant so I know I can tie it up but I want it to thrive. Also I have seen people stagger nails in a wall and tie vines to them. Is there any trick to that? Thanks for your help and tips!
