What kind of soil do I use for planting a jade plant?

The cuttings from a larger plant already have small roots. They were given to me rooting in water.

I used all kinds of potting mix on mine and they do okay. But if you want, you can make your own mix. One part peat, one part organic soil, and three parts coarse sand. Re-pot every two years. Good luck!

Jades are tough little plants. They are very drought resistant, and any type of soil should do. Just remember if you're putting them in pots to give them plenty of room because they grow enormous.

I would say any type of soil, although I have had success with cactus soil.
