The property I live on has 10 fully grown bouganvillea plants scattered around. I live in Southern California near Palm Springs. It gets very hot and dry. How often and how much should I water the bouganvillea? Once a week? Every other day? Any advice would be helpful.

What do you do with tulips and irises once the pedals fall off? I don't know if I should cut them at ground level or just leave them alone.

I saw my neighbors last year use this method: I'm looking for a good website on it. Please.
They put some black plastic over their soil. Then after a couple weeks they cut holes in the plastic and planted their yard plants. The plants within a month had grown beautifully and practically covered all the black plastic. Any websites on this method would be fantastic. Thank You!!

I'm considering trying to get some grapevines started here in Southeastern Wisconsin. I read somewhere that all grapes can do well here if planted on a south wall, so I know my garage wall would be perfect. Nice sun almost all day, and in general protected from bad winds. But, then, what kind of grapes? Of course I would prefer the seedless, white or red, but I've also heard they don't have as much taste as the one's with the seeds. I've heard Concord grapes do well here. Can anyone give me any advice with this? My brother and I are willing to build the trellis and/or put up posts that they would need. I've also heard if you can get them going good they will produce up to 40 years. Any help is appreciated! Janice

I live in north east kansas. The soil is good and damp most of the year excluding the month of august. I'd like bright colors and either long blooming or a variety that would go from one type then right into another as the first dies off. Please help. Thanks.

I have always wondered 'how do melons grow?'. A vine seems too weak and a tree seems too dangerous. Can you please shed some light on this.
