The plant is dark green, it stands upright like a flower but has no blooms or buds. It is layered with dark green leaves and looks like a weed but I can't tell.

I have an unusual color brick, and am installing a patio out front. Can't find any paving stones that will work. Has anyone had experience staining the basic concrete 12 x 12 pavers that are available everywhere? Thanks in advance!

We just bought our house last summer and we are totally clueless to landscaping. There is a flower bed about 6x1 right outside the entrance walkway. Ofcourse there is nothing but weeds in it right now but I would like to put something in there that is easy to maintain that can resist alot of direct sun. We're in Texas and temps can get up to 105. Any ideas? Also, do I plant seeds or the flowers you get in the little containers. Much detail is requested as I have no idea what to do.

Last spring rabbits made about 10 nests in our back yard and basically tore it up-what a pain! It started again already this year and I am hoping someone can help us stop this. What can I do to stop the rabbits from nesting in our back yard? We have a dog, so you would think they would try to stay away, but they dont! Please help

My tomato seeds are germinated and are popping up now. Im using jiffymix pellets and the roots are already going through the bottom. I need to know of a good soil, from calloways, that I can use, preferrably organix to grow em in.
Also I'll be using pots, so what size pots should I get to plant em in?

Current condition of the lawn is spotty rye grass covering about 80 percent of the surface with other patches of no coverage at all that was cut to about an inch last fall by my idiot landlord. I'm planning on dethatching and raking with a steel rake to increase aeration and germination of the 50/50 rye/blue I'm going to put down. My question is primarily what is the dangers or benefits of fertilizing right now. Should I fertilize water in then lay seed? Will fertilizer damage fresh seed? Can I seed too much? I'm familiar with proper levels of fertilization but should I half the ammount since the grass is so short and cant process it all? Thanks ahead of time to all the turf lovers out there. It pains me to look at it I need to do something. P.S. 10 day forecast looks like rain half the days with partial sun and temps from 50-78

We just moved into a new home and want to start a lawn around out home. The problem is the soil is very rocky. What can we do to remove all the rocks other that getting a metal rake and going to town? We want to do this ourselves to save some money.

ok... someone said that you can eat aloe plants. So my questions is... can u really eat aloe plants without getting sick... is it good for you??? If you CAN eat it... which parts can you eat?

Also... if you don't have a sun burn... and you take aloe from a plant... and rub it on ur skin... is it good for ur skin? Or is it just there?

THANK YOU!

I heard about one of those homeowner communities and they award one homeowner with a sign for "Best Yard" each month. That just would make me fall over and die with joy. I can't help it I'm a passionate gardner and can't plant this year because I'm moving in a couple of months. Its agonyyyyyyyyy! My Gurneys catalog keeps coming and it cry as I throw it away. I don't even want to look at it, its too painful to know I can't garden this year. Anyway, do you take as much pride in your lawn and garden as I do? : )

There's a bush on my property that i want to get cuttings of before i move and I want to know the name of it aswell. A bloom is 5 pink leaves with the top 3 having some wierd dark red "tattoing" on them, and little "feelers" coming out of the center of the bud. It's a fairly leafy plant aswell, but this one has grown long stems before if makes new stems so i feel it could grow more compact with pruning. I'm not a gardener though, but i'd like to make two new plants and try to keep them compact. If you can't tell what they are by the description is there a website with like a database of flowers/bushes?
