first take a look at where you seeded to make sure its still there. Birds love to eat your seed. If you can still see it then either you are not keeping it damp enough or it is not warm enough there yet. Seeds need to we kept damp, but not enough water to pool or all your seeds will run to the low spots where the water collects and your lawn will be blotchy. Just water lightly a couple of times a day (more if the sun is hot) and in another 2 weeks you'll see the buggers sprout.

Germination of the seed is dependent on soil temperature.I'm sure you are fine.Patience is not a natural instinct for us is it? Some varieties of grasses germinate in 3 or so days others may take 30,but all must be in contact with moist and warm soil, air temp is not enough

I don't think you did anything wrong. Two reasons I suspect why your grass seeds are not growing yet. First, the ground temperature is not warm enough yet to trigger the dormant seed to germinate. Second, the seeds were expire. I'll bet my money to the ground temperature. Just be patient.

If there's any perennial ryegrass in the mix, you should be seeing something by now, but not alot. Have patience. Are you sure the seed bed hasn't dried out? Did you use manure? Did you mix it well with the soil? Hopefully you didn't bury the seed..........have patience............
