Bought this strange looking creeper during the summer at a garden centre - has very fine, forked leave and red tubular flowers. Unexpected cold weather killed most of it before i brought it indoors. Have managed to encourage some new growth at the base, but half of that died recently. Any tips on keeping it going until the summer? thanks

50 degrees North latitude corresponds roughly to Vancouver, Quebec City, Frankfurt am Main, and Kyiv. The rhizomes were overdue for separation. Dug up on 26 Nov. due to nearby paving. Cellared storage space is available. If Spring planting is best, recommend storage medium/method, please. New planting depth for the rhizomes is to be with only 1-2"/3-5 cm. soil over the rhizome, with leaves trimmed by 1/2-2/3 original height, correct?

My family has a tree in their yard. My stepfather got the tree from his sister 10+ years ago. I was told then that it was a water something or something with "water" in the title. He has passed away so I cannot ask. I have asked a local (orlando) orange coneseur about this and he cannot determine it what it is. I was wondering if theres an online database that I can search with or without photos? I can email pictures to anyone that needs them. OH, let me add... They are normally bi-annual and rather large.

It has been warm still and no hard freeze yet in North Texas. Only the top part of the plant looks melted. The sides are still full and blooming.
