Well, I'm actually allergic to real christmas trees, like a lot of people are. If you have allergies or pets that will enjoy climbing up the tree and slowly removing the ornaments you hang on it, it might be better to get a plastic tree. They tend to be harder to climb and won't mess with your skin or sinuses. A lot of the plastic ones can be just as pretty as the real ones. It just depends on if you want to pay for a real tree every year, or if you'd like to pay once and have a tree every year anyway.

NOTHING beats a real Christmas tree with its scent and look at Christmastime! Merry Christmas!

Yeah, I love the smell of pine, but real trees are messy (needles and sap everywhere!), and can cause problems if you have pets or holiday guests with allergies! Plus, so many of the fake ones are pre-lit, which is super convenient.

Go with a fake one and burn a pine-scented candle.

real for smell. Plastic for longevity, beauty, putting up, and taking down and safety. And you buy it one time.

Fake of course, why would you want to contribute to this yearly sensless killing of trees!!!!!!!!!!!

If it HAS to be REAL, then buy a real one that is planted in a pot that you can plant outside after the holiday at least.
