Fall or Spring?

I am going to get a 6 foot wood privacy fence. I was told that even if I get Cedar that it would still have to be treated and stained to keep the weather out, after it dries out, just like pressure treated wood. Cedar is more expensive and looks better. I am thinking about just getting the pressure treated and waiting until it dries out and then staining it and weather proofing it. Does anyone have experience with this?

A few years ago we planted two Red Maples in our back yard. Last year I noticed a green moss growing at the base of the trunk of the tree closest to the house. Today I noticed it has spread to the other tree, and on the first tree has grown up the trunk about two feet on the North facing side. Am I going to lose the pair, or is this a natural occurence? Can I use anything to control the mosses growth, or kill it, or should I let it be? Thanks in advance.

I planted daffodils and tulips-both said to get in the ground before frost and they would bloom in spring, I planted them at the exact right time for my zone and they've spouted leaves already. Will they still bloom in spring?

We have some lovely ponds and the geese love to land and swim in them but when they are out of the ponds they drop their waste on the lawn where the kids play. Big green goose droppings and plenty of them. How can we keep the geese under control? Any ideas? We don't want to kill them just get them under control.

I reside in the Northwest. I have two lantana plants in big pots, which I brought into my house for the next six months. They flowered beautifully, turned to green seed, & some to black seed. The branches (stems?) are dry, & leaves are falling off. However, new life is growing now. I keep them watered & give them nutrition. What I want to know is what will happen to the dryer parts of the plants. Will they become fresh again& look pretty? Thank you for any knowledge.
