Try boiling water, bleach and water (I think 2 tbsp per gallon, add more a bit at a time, be careful!), I have heard acetic acid which is vinegar-like works if diluted to 13%. There is also a weed killer you can buy that is salt of phosphates and it is manufactured by a famous insecticidal soap company. There is also good old manual removal.

Organic, non chemical....... hmmmmm . Not to avoid the question but all products you are looking for are in fact chemicals. If we recall water is H2O. Even hot water is still a chemical. Ok organic is also a chemical. I'm trying to make a point that often times the word chemical or pesticide has a negative meaning. When in fact without them our lives would be vastly different, and shorter.... OK, here we go....
1. How long do you want the weeds to be gone? I know forever right.... well realistically how long do you expect the weeds to be gone??
2. A short list of (substances, compounds) would include, but not limited to
hot water. over 140 degrees fahrenheit
bleach 1 part in 10 parts water
vinegar similar concentration
borax, commonly detergent
diesel fuel.... technically organic as it contains Carbon, but don't think that's what you really want.
pulling the weeds is technically not organic, or non chemical but rather mechanical.
salt, you could use rock salt, its cheaper, however may leach out. you could also use potassium chloride as opposed to sodium chloride. Its less of a hazard to plants.
I'm sure there are many more household products which would work, but hey go out on a limb here and buy some Roundup and be done with it. ooooops I guess that's a chemical....... good luck.!!

If it's not going to interfere with nearby tree roots or lawn, simply use one of these two methods: ordinary household vinegar, just poured on the weeds, will kill most of them (and some fresh dandelions would make a decent salad...). Seriously, this works. The high acidity is too much for them, and it disperses easily in the soil. An even cheaper method is just to boil water and pour it on them; I keep a separate old kettle just for this purpose. Some people use salt, which can corrode sidewalks, and it is toxic as runoff, to lawns and tree roots. Anyway, those are my two suggestions, besides just pulling them. There are some good weeding tools on the market now, like the kind that allows you to sever the weed while standing, as it is on the end of a stick. Some are made just for the weeds in sidewalk cracks. They work well, but involve bending. If doing a lot of this, prep your body by doing some warming up exercises, and cooling down ones afterwards, or you'll be sore from using muscles that you don't use all the time. Anyway, at this time of year, thankfully the weeds will be history until next year...unless you live in a warm climate. (Weeds year-'round would not be good...) Good luck.

Straight household vinegar, especially during a sunny day, sprayed directly on the weed.

in a spray bottle, pour some vinegar with the same amount of water. spray liberally. also if you spread new grass seed it will help keep out the weeds. the thicker the grass the less chance of weeds!!
