Once I see them, I spray them, but it's already too late by that time - the infestation is on! Do I need to replace or treat the soil to kill eggs or what?

I'm looking at a RoboMower for the lawn. We have about an acre, minus the footprint of the house. The front is level, but has a number of trees. The back has fewer trees, but about a forty-five, fifty-five degree slope to a creek, then a bridge across the creek to another section of lawn. Any suggestions?

I am hoping to plant a big dahlia patch in my backyard this coming spring. I ordered some tubers from a dahlia farm and the gentleman said I needed to amend my soil. Is this something I can do a little at a time over the winter? Does this mean adding manure?

Recently purchased a clay strip mine. Been seeking any help from groups like Al Gore's Stop Global Warming, but nobody want's to help plant pine or other shrubs wildlife can use. Cannot plant trees like I once did,

I don't like yews. I don't want it to keep the sun off my clematis in the summer. I need something that looks green in the winter so I can put Christmas lights on them. (outside)

Any suggestions?

Thanks

We had a sprinkler leak and several plants with fat green fronds and black pods for roots sprouted up all around the leak. (Phoenix) Any idea what kind of plant it could be?

I live in PA and the cold is really starting to roar in. We just planted a beautiful rose bush in our yard this past summer and i am unsure how to winterize it so it doesn't die.

I live in the Hollywood Hills and it never freezes here. I just am having trouble deciding if this tree is available in Los Angeles and also if it will survive. Thanks for your help!
