What is this plant?

We had a sprinkler leak and several plants with fat green fronds and black pods for roots sprouted up all around the leak. (Phoenix) Any idea what kind of plant it could be?

Without a photo it is hard to say, but the description seems to fit the "Black Cohosh". Check out the link below.

Must be from a bird feeder near by the leak....lots of diff seeds in that bird food!
