I like to put petunias in containers in the summer. But they grow so unevenly and scraggly. Can I cut them? If I cut them will they then create two branches?

We mow and by the next morning these patches of tall grass grow about an 1 overnight. It appears to be a light green with two leaves. We have pulled bags of this grass out of our lawn and it keeps spreading. Does anyone have NICE suggestions on how to kill this stuff!

My gf is an avid gardener, though her vegetable garden has a single prolific pest... Cucumber (or Squash) Beetles. She's tried all sorts of ways to wipe the little swines out, to no avail. She's trying to keep to an organic growing ethic, but nothing so far seems to work against them; she's tried releasing ladybugs in her garden, organic-based pesticides... but the bugs just do not give up the ghost.
I'd hate to see her break her organic garden rule over these critters, so - does anyone out there know a good way to get rid of Cucumber Beetles (preferably organic and not napalm-based)? We're willing to give anything a shot :)

we put in a brick pathway on a slight slope, I'm beginning to think this was a mistake. We used those fiberglass edgers on the sides of the bricks, but they don't seem to be holding the shape of the path well. the bricks on the outside edge of the curve are starting to separate a little and now there is about a 1/2 inch gap between the bricks. I don't know if it's because it has been so dry, or if it was just a really bad idea to put a brick pathway on a slope - is there a fix for this? please help!!

The home owners association where I live removed all the thick brush growing along the highway at the berm. Since that removal we have noticed more noise from passing motorists as well as seeing the vehicles pass by. We are wondering if we raise the berm and add more vegetation if that will help with the noise.

Back in N.Y. we had what we called, i'm sure i'm not spelling it right, (cikata's)They apparently shed out of a brown skin, they flew all over in the hot weather, they were colored black/green and chattered loudly. This is not what's in the trees here in N.C.

The only source I can find is Garnener's Supply and they have sold out. Even Arthur Higgins' web site does not list this item.
