The last few years I noticed sweet potato vines are really popular as a filler in container/potted plant patio arrangements. Do they actually produce? Are there little sweet potatoes in the pot come late fall?

I can't water it early in the morning because i have to leave for work really early. We just bought this house and people before us did not take the best care of the lawn. In a few places grass is either thin or excessively dry. Is there anything i can apply to the grass to make it less dry now, in the middle of hot summer? In case it matters, we live in New Jersey.

We can buy blue, green roses, or I even have seen mulitcolor roses what were lovely. I just wonder if they use some pigment and add it to the water cos they don't paint them I am sure! And there is no way they are like that by nature.

The instruction book simply stated to never remove plate once attached, do not put in water (of course) and do not spray. I read that once it is clean I can spray it with Pam or something similar but can't figure out how to clean it in the first place. Help if you can.

I live in Georgia, below Atlanta, and I am looking to plant some new plants for Fall to replace the flowers I planted in the Spring. I am looking for something to plant around my mailbox, and around a large flower bed that will tolerate frost, but has a vibrant color, preferabbly in the red family. I would like to do either flowers or plants. The area is mostly full-sun right now. I am thinking of picking up something at Lowes or Home Depot. Also, when should I plant for Fall?

Basic around-the-house plants in pots. My main question is, should you focus on wetting the leaves, or just the dirt where the roots are located. My assumption is that watering the plant's leaves and stems is useless, as they do not absorb water that way. Like humans do not eat food through their skin...

I know they are supposed to but mine got grown over by other vegetation and were sun starved for months. They lost many of their leaves and some of the rhizomes are mushy. The soil has a lot of rotted compost in it but I figure that being raised that the drainage would compensate for that. Some that had sun seem to be doing very well. I want to line them up in the back boarder for next year. Is this a good idea if I allow only low growing plants for next spring? Will adding sand help? I want them in this location so I can see them every day while they are in bloom. But I also don't want to waste the 50 dollars I just spent on iris ethier. Hello-
I am interested in planinting some bulbs for spring. I am very new at gardening, but I am trying to make an area in my backyard for birds & butterflies. Since it is too late in the year for me (I'm in Ohio) to get anything else to thrive, I am thinking of putting some bulbs down. Any ideas/thoughts/tips on my area would be good. I am planning on putting in a birdbath, feeder, and flowers. THANKS!
