I bought the plant in May, 2005. It hung outdoors until November (New England), and it has since hung in the window over my kitchen sink. I tried putting it out for a few hours in Spring, but it looked worse the wear for it. I tried feeding it a little recently, but it still looks like its on its way out. It has very, very long but sparse branches, no blossoms, healthy looking leaves toward the center, but yellowish green stems in places. A couple of the long "tentacles" shrivelled from the root, so it had flat stems at the pot but healthy looking ends of about ten inches long. At this point I don't know if I've underwatered or overwatered.

I bought some Cactus mix (Shultz's) from the store and have found that it is very hard to get the water to soak in once it dries. I know the soil is supposed to be well draining, but soil that won't even soak any water up can't be the right type. Why does it do this and what should I mix with it or use instead?

I'm a new homeonwer looking to get two fairly large trees in my yard cut down. I'm looking for the company to haul off with the limbs but leave the trunk and also have the company grind the stumps. I'm trying to get a price range for what I'm looking at.

I'm relocating to columbia, south carolina area. What plants really thrive there? Can i grow all year long? or is the climate much colder in the winter? I'd be growning for food source mostly.

Thanks!

They usually come in colors of peach or yellow/ I don`t know the other name for the plant. They grow about 3 ft in height and can spread about 2 to 4 feet in width....

I just moved into a house with a ugly dirt hill going straight up on the side of it. I worry about erosion with large trees near the edge (don't need a caved in roof) and a ugly yard. With alot of kudzu growing wild around here, thought I could get some started to cover the ugliness and help the erosion. Do I just cut some of it off and stick it in the ground, or do I need to dig it up at the root? Do I start it at the bottom of the hill or at the top?
