Difficult to eradicate, need several applications of insecticide the best I have been able to do is stop them being an infestation on certain plants, however, I'm reluctant to use chemical-cides on my tomato plants or other soft fruits. I have been told to use a very diluted form of washing up liquid, but whatever I've tried has damaged the plants.

I don't know if they still sell diazonon (spelling?) but go to a home and garden place (K-Mart has one) and look at the different bottles of insecticides, one will work on white flies. Or, call a landscape place (that sells plants and trees) and ask them what to use.

You didn't say if you have children and/or pets. Be sure to mention them (if you have) when you ask your question.
