No it shouldnt have any problem overseeding will produce a thick lawn fairly fast. The only draw back is that you will have to mow more, as the grass will be more thicker then normal. But its fine.

This is a good thing. The thicker your grass is, the better chance it has for 'choking out' weeds. A healthy turf is the best way to combat weed, insect, and disease pressures! Overseed away!

I doubt it.

However, if you over fertilize it. you could wind up with "burning the grass". there are fertilizers that will warn you against that on the back of the bags.
