Sunflowers usually germinate within 2 weeks' time. They need plenty of water and sun. Sometimes critters will eat seeds so it's a good idea to watch the area closely. If you don't see any sprouts in the next 3-4 days, try peeking to see if seeds are still there. If you resow, only plant seeds to the first bend in your pointer finger, or about 3/4".

Good luck!

There are many different varieties of sunflowers. It only takes a few days for them to sprout -- certainly less than a week. Some flower early. Some flower late. Also note that some flowers are heavier and need to be staked.
