It depends on the density of the gravel you are using and if you want a metric or UK ton(ne).

Example
Loose, dry gravel: density = 1522 kg/m3
3.875 m3 gravel x 1522 kg/m3 = 5898 kg
5898 kg = 5.898 tonnes (metric) = 5.805 tonnes (UK)

Hope this helps.

Use a kitchen measuring jug (say 250 ccs) to measure a litre of gravel (1000 ccs) pour the gravel onto some kitchen scales and weigh (in grms is best). Call this x grms

1 metre cubed is 1000000 litres so mulitply the above answer by 1 million. (thats 1000000x grms now)
You have 3.875 cubic litres so multiply by that (3875000x grms)
But 1 metric tonne (almost the same as Imperial) is 1000000 grms
So now divide your grms by 1000000 to make tonnes and we get 3.875x tonnes (3.875 times the weight of 1 litre

If you are intending to purchase 3.875 cu/mtrs of gravel, then that is how you actually order it. Round the figure-up to 4 cu/mtrs.

This the normal method for suppliers. I have never ever ordered any quantity by weight.

Below is a calculator that works out tonnes based on area.
you can convert sq yards, feet into metres etc using google calculator
If that doesn't work - call a local landscape supply company - they should be able to convert quickly for you as orders will come in to them both ways.

1600 kg loose graded ballast = 1cubic metre.
1600 x 3.875 = 6200 kg = 6.2 tonnes. order 6.5 tonnes.

You would need to convert it into cubic yards and then determine how many yards of gravel in a ton. Something like this 3.874(3.3)/27= ?cy's

You need to know the weight of the gravel per whatever, without this extra info it can't be done.
