Apply fall fertilizer in late September, pre-emergent crabgrass killer in mid-spring, and weed/feed in late spring or early summer.

Probably will mostly disappear but will be for the best. Fall after it cools down is the best time to put the fertilizer on but the weed killer can be done any time and is better the warmer it is. Do it early in the day before it gets hot so when it does get hot, the weeds will absorb more of the killer and die faster. Wait for a cooler time to put the fertilizer on when it is staying down to around 70 to 80 for highs.
