I am installing a Plasma TV over a fireplace I do not use. I am looking for a way to hide all the messy wires and, at the same time, hide my satellite receiver and Home Theatre receiver. How do I do it? I don't want all these wires running from the receivers to my TV.

We installed parquet flooring appr. 3 yrs ago. We were told to apply 2 coats of polyurethane to seal it. At the time we were unaware that we should have sanded the parquet first before applying poly. Now the poly is peeling from the floor badly. We want to fix it but would like opinions on the best way to do so. Is there a stripper that will remove it or would we have to sand it off? Thanks!

Hi all,
Just wondering what y'all might think on how I might cut a vinyl rail fencing. It's 1 1/2 X 5 1/2 X 16. Sorry, I don't know how thick the walls are.
Would a Hack Saw with "fine teeth" work? How can I get the cuts perfect?

Thanks all!

I have a hole in the ceiling with a metal housing around the perimeter of it. How do i disconnect the ducting hose from the metal housing of my vent? Its screwed in with screws and i can't reach around and unscrew them. Should i cut of the ducting hose? And when i attach the new unit to the hose how should i connect it together? I hope i can connect it without disconnecting the other side of the hose ducting attached to the top of the roof.

And still have a smooth finish? I'm painting a desk with drawers on it, but the back of the drawer section is made of particleboard. The desk is in a position so that you can clearly see the back, so I was wondering if I painted it black it would still look nice. Also if you can recommend any particular brand or type of paints.

I need it to be 7 by 16ft and a height if 7 feet.
And I need to know how to attach it to the ground properly (I wanted to lay on on blocks, no slab)

Is there anything to make this easier?

(Must meet the code in Sarasota County, Florida)

I bought an Older Home about 150 years old, and they decided to paint over all the beautiful oak doors, wood trim, and Stairway banister with a lead based paint. I need something thats effective, and cuts time.

I have two white wires sticking out of my ceiling. on the directions of my voltmeter it says: to determine which wire is hot on either two wire or three wire AC outlets touch the black probe to the ground wire and the red probe in the alternate wires. If the ground wire is properly grounded and the red probe is attached to the hot wire, the voltmeter will glow. The problem is, however, that i do not have a ground wire to do this. What should i do now?

When I flush, the water runs in the tank, but it is like not enough to flush the toilet. I have to flush at least twice to get stuff to go down. I live alone and nothing has gotten dropped (that I know of). Inside the tank, there is some type of cylinder around where the flapper is.

I just recently moved into a house with hardwood floors and previously have no experience with them. It is a rental and so naturally the floors paint sealer or whatever top coat has been rubbed off so pretty much it is JUST wood. How am I suppose to clean and take care of it?

Big reminder..THERE IS NO PAINT SEALER OR SHINE TO THE FLOORS AT ALL!!! They are really old floors and so either never had that or it has been worn away.

I'm planning a project that will involve multiple 4"*4" and am contemplating using either treated or untreated. The posts would be somewhat exposed. Would doing this lead to any potential health risks?

Mine just clogged up really bad, which it does quite often. Like after about 10 papers and an envelope.
Once it clogged so bad it wouldn't even go into reverse so my husband rebuilt it somehow.
I need one that will keep going and not clog up so fast.

Are there any two piece king mattresses? Or perhaps some sort of piece (of foam perhaps) that would fit above the two mattress (if I choose to go with two full) to make it seemless?

I am planning on raking out the gravel and then covering the driveway with tiny river rock. I am going to edge the side with railroad ties. I also want to add an extension off the side and that is grown in with grass. Should I till it up and dig it out or is there a better method?
