I rebuilt the deck and used treated wood for posts on the hand rail that I added. Can I prime them and stain them or should I wait?

Wait a couple of years? Where do these people come from?
Why not wait a few more years so you can replace the deck again?
If the wood was very wet(&heavy) you should wait a week or so for the excess preservative to evaporate. Then use an OIL based primer (kilz, zinser, etc.), then paint. If you want to stain, use a spray applicator and PENETRATING stain. Don't use a top coat (spar varnish, polyurethane, etc.) over the stain, the wood needs to breathe.

30 Days after installation paint or stain. If you paint, prime first with oil based primer then use paint of choice. Stain just apply deck stain according to directions on can.

I built my deck 25 yrs ago with treated lumber, as we all know treated lumber is green. After about 5 yrs the deck lost the green color and turned gray. At that time I sprayed it down with diluted bleach and then pressure washed it. It turned a beautiful ceder color since than I have treated it with Thompsons water seal every spring and it has stayed that same color. So my answer for you is, if you have the patience to wait, you will have a deck that looks like ceder, without the cost.

You need to wait a awhile before you can get the stain to 'stick'. I would do it next summer.
