I've had a Fellowes S701CM paper shredder for a few years now and it's never clogged on me once. I use it quite often. I don't recall exactly what I paid for it, but it was well under $100. Hope this helps! :)

Staples has a row of shredders in all sizes and price points for you to test. That might be a good place to start. You need to look at what you need the machine to do and it sounds like you need one that shreds at least 10 pages at a time. Shredders these days can also shred DVD's and CDs as well as credit cards. Find out what you need and then test them out.

Last one I bought from Walmart. I have run miles of paper through it, it cost about sixty dollars.( American Home And Office) model # SHO78. Sorry this is no longer available the GBCSC030 looks about the same for about 50 dollars. On the net GBC builds many models actualy this one handles six sheets at a time, three more than mine.

I bought one recently for less than $30. It takes only 6 pages at a time. For heavy duty ones you can pay perhaps double of that.

Go to "Consumer's Report" and they will tell you the best one they tested, the best price, the repair history, etc.
