k. heres the scoop. im moving by car & moving truck from florida to new york 1,200 miles, 24 hours if i could actually drive straight thru, but i cant. lets say 30 then?
but....
i have 3 cats. i cant stick them into 3 cat carriers for 30 hours, they will need a litter box, and food, and to move (have you seen the size of those cat carriers)
ok, so, dog crate sounds good right? i could put them all in a crate, with a litter box, food, maybe a blanket and what ever.
but here lies the major problem.
pet crates are not made to fit in the back of a car. even if they are long enough, they are too high to fit in my little sedan, on the pulled down seats.
wighth doesnt matter though. so, i think im going to have to custom build them a cage for the back of the car.
but out of what?.even if i could weld (cant) i wouldnt know where to get those bars. and ive seen some in mesh, but they would rip that fast. ideas?? get creative. im no fool, i can build something. but out of what?

Hi. I have some masonry blocks on my house and I would like to refill them in places where it's needed. Problem is I can't figure out what mortar/grout stuff to use, and how do you apply grout to vertical cracks like that?

To me that this is similar to filling in sealant with a gun so I did a search for mortar guns, suprised to find out lowes or home depot didn't sell mortar guns, so how do you guys apply grout to this without a gun, slap in on and clean off the rest? I could just slap it on but it wouldn't come out looking nice and I wouldn't need to ask this of you experts. Advice greatly needed and appreciated. Thanks.

Here are pictures of what I'm talking about.

Do you know where I can get a free pattern for an easy Easter quilt or easter bunny. I've been searching but haven't found any yet. Maybe an Easter table runner or something cute. I also wanted to make something for three young girls.

Thanks in advance

Hi I have an old cottage and I am now embarking on a massive project to renovate to entire house. The house is 4 stories from a basement to a converted attic. I am starting in the basement, currently the basement is lined with drywall, I want to remove all the dry wall and replace with plaster, in doing so I am looking at plaster boarding straight on to the brick walls to get rid of the echo sound that plasterboard can give off when fitted to a stud frame and the finish it off with a skim of plaster. I am looking at doing it this way because I believe it to be cheaper that plastering the entire basement

My question is this is it possible to fit plaster board straight to brick if so what is the best way to do this…

Thank you all in advance

i have an electrical outlet that has a 5 plug adaptor plugged into it. The adaptor has two lights, one which says protected and the other says grounded. everything will be fine for a while and then all power to the unit will disapear and the lights on the adaptor go off. Last time this happened i replaced the outlet and everything was peachy keen until it recently failed again. The outlet still seems to work if the adaptor is pushed hard against it, but not to work regularly. I was wondering if i could replace the outlet with one rated for a higher amperage or even a gfci outlet and would this help the problem. the outlet has a phone, answering machine, toaster oven and coffeemaker running on it, and we try to not run the toaster oven and the coffemaker at the same time. What would cause the outlet to repeatedly fail and how can i fix the problem? thanks.
