Me and my friends need to build a fake brick wal, because we're reconstructing the scene from Mallrats for one of our film classes. What would be the cheapest way to build a brick wall? (aside from finiding an actual brick wall)

my curling iron quit working when I yanked the cord from the outlet without turning it off first. Now it lights up and turbo light indicates it's ready, but no heat. Can I repair it?

We are attaching this to the front of our house and we are wanting something simple. This will deck will have one step all the way around the entire deck. We only want a handrail against the one edge. We want this deck to be open so people from any side of the deck can just walk onto it. I'm hoping we have enough money for this.

I thought I fixed the previous problem by replacing to the brand new valve. Now I have a water constantly running problem.

I own a table saw and I need to cut quite thin stips of mdf (about 15mm wide). I have previously been adviced that the saw blade should be set so that it is just above the height of the material being cut. The problem I'm having is that to cut narrow stips of wood I obviously need the fence quite close to the blade and the blade cover above gets in the way. I can only get the fence in really close if I raise the blade height, which obviously raises the blade cover as well. But this now means the blade is well over the height of the material. My question is this, is it safe to remove the plastic blade guard when using the machine? What exactly is the point of the blade guard anyway apart from being a sort of safety feature to stop you getting hurt. If it is not safe to remove the cover, then is there anyway around this problem?

We replaced the carpet in most of our house with hardwood but kept the carpet in our kids rooms because the money was tight. Well now, while painting in our oldest daughters room we had an accident so we had to remove the carpet. I cant afford to replace the carpet or put hardwood down now so I want to just paint the floor and use rugs as a temporary fix. The problem is the floors of this house are presswood (horrible stuff). So will this work at all, and if so how should we go about it?

Ok, so I moved into a really old house and whomever painted the upstairs bedroom last did a terrible job! Now, floor to ceiling I have accomplished but the windows are still a problem. They have paint all over the glass and I've tried scrapping, scrubbing, stripping, nothing will get this 20+ year old paint off. My question is: Does anyone have any ideas on shades or like a window tint to simply cover up the windows?

**Also, I can't afford to replace them right now, so that's out. Thanks!

I have a not too big patio area that is currently covered with the small white decorative rocks and the black tarp under it. weeds do grow out from under.
I want to make a patio out of brick or laying down a wood plank or something after removing the rocks. what is your opinion on this / best practices? I don't intend to keep this setup for long, just for a party that is coming up soon and would probably take it apart and either hire a pro to install or do some type of landscaping perhaps for a bbq or so.

Right now, just need extra space to have people sit outside with some chairs and a table.

BUT I don't want it too look too ghetto ;)
